I found this series of videos by CinemaSins while I was browsing YouTube earlier. I received The Dark Knight Rises for Christmas. I enjoy it but I think it is a step down from The Dark Knight. I have heard some negative chatter about The Dark Knight Rises - what do you think?
A blog featuring the game related ramblings and ideas of a role-playing gamer since 1980. My interests include many games and gaming related topics, but my main focus will be on Open Ended Original Edition Old School Fantasy Adventure Sandbox Role Playing Games (OEOEFASRPG™) The Open-Ended Sandbox Exploration of Dungeons, Wilderness and Cities. Occasionally, other topics outside of gaming will be discussed here as well.

Growing up I was a huge fan of the Batman. Along the way I lost interest in comics, but I still managed to keep up with the Hollywood treatments. At least until the absurdities of the Kilmer flicks.
ReplyDeleteI did see The Dark Knight well after the fact, having rented it with the wife not too long ego. I liked it well enough, but have yet to see this latest one.
After hearing so much of this chatter you've mentioned, I may be skipping it altogether.
I hear your, Eric. I liked the Keaton Batman but once Kilmer took it over it seemed like the frenchise was just dumb, dumb, dumb.
DeleteThe Dark Knight was really good. I liked the Nolan version of Joker and Two-Face. I'm not a fan of his Bane in The Dark Knight Rises. His voice is terrible and sounds muffled. I'm just not a fan of Bane at all; not very well done.
It's worth hitting up at redbox just to say that you saw all 3 of the films.
