As I was browsing the internet the last few days I stumbled on to the Simple DND blog during my journeys. The tagline, "Reviving old D&D with a modern twist", really does a great job of explaining the effort in a nutshell. If you like simpler rules or just want to check out an interesting take on the rules then visit the site.
A blog featuring the game related ramblings and ideas of a role-playing gamer since 1980. My interests include many games and gaming related topics, but my main focus will be on Open Ended Original Edition Old School Fantasy Adventure Sandbox Role Playing Games (OEOEFASRPG™) The Open-Ended Sandbox Exploration of Dungeons, Wilderness and Cities. Occasionally, other topics outside of gaming will be discussed here as well.

Discussion of Adventures in Fantasy (Arneson & Snider)
Just a heads up here, but it you are interested in discussion of the mechanics and/or possible house rules for Arneson & Snider's Adventures in Fantasy role playing game then head on over to The Comeback Inn and join the discussion. Currently, the efforts seem to be on house rules for cleaning up and clarifying the game. I hope these are gathered together in an unofficial supplement at some point.

Building a Better D&D?
I don't know how many of us in the OSR/RPG blogosphere have seen it, but there is an ongoing(?) examination of the D&D game rules going on at Building a Better D&D. I stumbled across this site months ago but lost track of it until recently. I am sure many of you will find something of use in many of the 54 entries. Thoughts?

The Play Generated Map & Document Archive
I am probably late to the party on this one but earlier today I found the coolest archive of old gaming material at The Play Generated Map & Document Archive while I was browsing the internet. If you want to see old gaming material such as hand drawn maps, home made modules that mimic the style of the old AD&D modules, and other various items then follow that link.

I just found it in the last few weeks becasue I have not been part of the blogosphere for long. In case others have missed it, there is a neat mini D20 game called Dan's Diminutive D20 out there for those of use that like a smaller ruleset to mess around with. I have not done a lot with it but it is tempting to dive in with the small amount of rules. Check it out!
