Maintenance & Plans

Just a quick update about some blog maintenance and plans for the coming year.

I deleted my other blogs because they were dead in the water.  I went through a divorce years ago around the time they were started, and I struggled with getting up and going.  The time for a separate blog on those subjects has come and gone.  If there is anything that comes up that would be worth posting, I will just post it here.

I plan on continuing on with my usual D&D posts, Miniature Monday posts, and Fan Film Friday posts as well.  In addition, I plan on posting once a month leading up to the 50th anniversary of D&D as well as attempting the #Dungeon23 challenge.  I'm not sticking to just a megadungeon for my posts, though.  I'm going to try to use this as an opportunity to consolidate and flesh out the scattered notes for my campaign world a bit better.  There will be overworld stuff, town locations, dungeons, etc.  The point being trying to have 365 posts about campaign world information in one form or another.  

Time For Commitment

I started this blog with no other reason than to post primarily on gaming; of course, I make occasional side treks into other topics along the way.  I have been posting as the mood hits up until this point but I think it is time to come up with a set schedule.  I believe I will commit to post once a week for the foreseeable future; Saturdays will most likely be the day.  This will allow me to focus on just one post at a time and improve the quality of the posts.  That does not mean that I will not post more from time to time when the mood fits. 

I know I need to post on the following for the sake of completion:

• Finish the read through of the Adventures in Fantasy rules.
• More information on my Toldara B/X campaign.
• Fleshing out some of my ideas from my old gaming notebook collection. 

Those are just the topics that I am sure about using.  Just out of curiosity, what do my readers think?  Here is your chance to voice your opinion if you have a strong opinion on anything - what would you like to read more of, what would you like to see less of, what fits, what is out of place, or are you perfectly fine with reading whatever happens to catch your attention?

Minor Reorganization

For anyone interested, I have done a little bit more cleanup around here on the old blog.  I have removed some information from the Collected Posts page and moved them to their appropriate place on the Old Gaming Notebook page or the Toldara page.  All of the information is still here but is now located in a "better" area. 

A Little Reorganization Around Here

I have not updated the layout of my blog in a while.  I started to take a look at the page arrangement due to new projects I have committed to complete.  The biggest change at the moment is the arrangement of the tabs at the top of the page.  There was 4 but now there are 5 tabs.  The old Resources & Links tab is gone and has been replaced by two new tabs:

 

Downloads - Links to all of the downloads that I have created or helped to create will be placed in this tab.

 

Various Links - Links to downloadable resources, information, and miscellaneous sites that I enjoy using or visiting from time to time.

Eventually, I am going to add an About tab to the top of the page that will explain how I got into gaming and how my gaming tastes have changed over the years.
