After I posted about getting Swords & Wizardry: Complete through a trade, my wife arrived home withe package in hand. I have not done an extensive read through yet but my first impression is that Swords & Wizardry: Complete is a near perfect match for the hybrid D&D/AD&D game my buddies and I played in our youth. I will write more as I read more...

When I think of D&D/AD&D hybrid is the AEC combined with LL. The Complete S&W rules kinda is the bridge proto game that occurred between OD&D and the release of AD&D IMHO.
ReplyDeleteHey, and that's cool, too! The main point I was getting at is that it just seems closer to the way my regular group played with the mix of rules we used BUT we also played in other games that were really similar to LL & AEC. I figure it's all cool and it all kind feeds off each other.
