I got my replacement broadband modem/router combo in the mail yesterday. I got it all hooked up after work and caught up on my blog reading; I even made a comment on a few of them. I am assembling a few posts for later in the week. In the meantime, I present some motivational music....

ReplyDeleteI can honestly say I never thought I'd see a Slayer post here, but Semi-Retired Gamers listen to music, too - right?
I'm not that much of a fan. But regardless of genre, Reign in Blood is one of the classic albums of all time. And Hell Awaits is pretty darned close. I went down the punk trail, but most of my childhood friends were metal heads; Slayer was one of their Kings.

I do hope I am not out of place here, but I would love to see more posts along this line sprinkled in amongst the Semi-Retired doctrine. These personal tidbits go a long way towards allowing your followers an opportunity to get to know you better.
And when you hit it big on your system, I can tell my friends, "Hey... that guy likes Slayer."

ReplyDeleteLOL...no worries - SLAYER will always have a home here! I'm glad I could catch you off guard like that; surprises are nice. You are correct in your assessment of the albums. REIGN IN BLOOD is a speed masterpiece and HELL AWAITS approaches the same level. Hey, punk is cool too!
