My four year old daughter, Emma, has a dance recital later this afternoon. She has been in dance for several months and this recital is going to serve as a sort of graduation before the summer season. She always does good at practice but she got to experience a big crowd last night - she looked pretty scared about all the people and just stood there for a while. She did do all of the last number and it was made clear that if she did good tonight then we would go get ice cream after the show. Fingers crossed...

Absolutely adorable.
ReplyDeleteHope she did well, though how could she not?
Thanks, Eric. It went about as well as could be expected from a 4 year old. She was pretty nervous during her first routine and moved just kinda did a little bit of tapping. The second routine she did a lot better and the final routine she did a little bit of dancing but looked at the others like they were crazy...lol. We still went for ice cream!
DeleteJust out of curiosity, are you aware that your last several blog posts are AWOL?
Four year old dance recitals are the BEST! She looks too adorable!!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest did a tap routine and she rocked it like a four year old Rockette! As much as a four year old can rock it like a Rockette! :)
One then one of the other little girls stood shocked-deer-in-the-headlights still until about halfway through and then twirled aimlessly across the stage for the rest of the number. Holy Crap Cute!!!
Thanks, Heather! Yeah, it was actually a lot of fun and I am looking forward to her next one.
DeleteMy daughter pretty much did the deer-in-the-headlights for the entire first routine and part of the second. That's funny because she got here twirling in on the second routine. That's her favorite move.
Also, I tagged you for some awards.
DeleteInteresting - I like awards. Thanks!
